Scotland Loves Local Project
Join us for our first speaker event of 2021! With Audrey Michie and David McCubbin of Aberdeenshire Council as they talk to us about the funding Aberdeenshire Council has secured: The Scotland Loves Local fund, monies from the Scottish Government, administered by the Scotland Town Partnership to deliver a Scotland Loves Local project for Aberdeenshire town centres and businesses.  
The overall aim is to promote the amazing businesses in Aberdeenshire towns and to encourage residents in Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, Moray and bordering areas to visit and spend locally.
The project will complement existing town and business level activity, providing training and skills support and access to advice and suppliers.

Audrey Michie is the Strategic Town Centre Executive for Aberdeenshire Council, working within Economic Development in the Regeneration team.  Her role is Aberdeenshire wide, and involves managing the towns centre elements of the regeneration plans for the four northerly towns: Banff, Macduff, Fraserburgh and Peterhead.  Audrey also manages the £4 million Aberdeenshire Town Centre Fund, is the BID liaison officer for Inverurie and Peterhead Business improvement Districts and facilitates the Town Centre First Principle where all strategies and papers taken to committee consider town centres within the decision making process.

AIMS OF NETWORK NORTHEAST
The objectives of Network Northeast is to promote and advance the interests of all businesses within the Turriff and wider north Aberdeenshire area and specifically:
■ Provide regular, engaging and informative events for local businesses to learn, connect and grow their network
■ Encourage networking locally within the group, outwith main events
■ Create annual or similar charity social event to engage with the local community.
NETWORKING EVENTS
Network Northeast events are open to anyone who is part of a trade, profession or business within Turriff and the wider north Aberdeenshire area.  Until further notice, all events will take place online (you'll have to provide your own home bakes!) and a meeting link will be issued to all registrants prior to each event. 
Upcoming meetings will be posted on this webpage so check in regularly for new announcements. Your place at each of the Network Northeast events can be reserved via Eventbrite – places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
